What Does this ultrasound Result Mean?
hi myself aradhana jaini am 36 year old and i have two daughters of 12 and 7 year old both were born by normal delivery. recently i have concieved my LMPwas 15th december and today i have done my ultra sound which says as below:
Gravid utrerus is seen showing single intrauterine sac corresponding 6week 1 day
no evidence of any fetal cardiac activity is seen
gestational age - 6wks2d (CRL-5mm)
decidual reaction is adequate.
Sunchorionic hemorrhage ~2.0x.7x1.5cm is noted
liquor is adequateinternal Os is Closed
both adnexa are normal in size and exotexture.pouch of Douglous is clear.
Impression : Single intrauterine gestational sac with fetal pole corresponding to 6 w 2d is noted with no cardiac activity at present. Adv-correlation with menstural history and follow up after 1-2 weeks if needed.
my periods were never regular but there was no abnormality found in past. when i conceived at that time multiload were there inside the uterus but that was displaced. my dr removed that before 4 days and that time very nominal spotting were there. but there is no spotting at all.as per general symptoms it seems every thing is fine.
please tell me that will fetal cardiac pulses be appear after 7th week or we have to discontinue the pregnancy.

Fetal cardiac activity should have been visualized by this age.Non visualization of fetal cardiac activity may be due to many reasons like wrong date,excess maternal fat etc.You are rightly suggested for follow up USG after 2 weeks.
TVS(trans vaginal sonography) increases the sensitivity.
Non visualization of fetal cardiac activity in next scan may indicate missed abortion.
Findings also suggests small Subchorionic hemorrhage.Generally it doesn't cause complication and get absorbed with time.
You should avoid strenuous activity and wait for next scan.
Get well soon.
